Gmail & Yahoo bulk sender requirements checker

Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook now reject or spam-folder mail from bulk senders without proper authentication. Enter your sending domain to see which of the DNS requirements you meet and what to fix.

Works with a domain, an email address or a website URL. Lookups run in your browser over public DNS; nothing is stored.

Checking many domains, or clients' domains?

The Email Deliverability Checker audits SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MTA-STS and BIMI for hundreds or thousands of domains at once, grades each A–F with fixes, and exports to CSV/Excel or an API. Run it on a schedule to catch broken records. $8 per 1,000 domains, no subscription.

FAQ

What are the Gmail and Yahoo sender requirements?

All senders need SPF or DKIM, valid forward and reverse DNS, TLS and a spam rate under 0.3%. Bulk senders (over 5,000 messages a day to Gmail) also need both SPF and DKIM, a DMARC record of at least p=none, a From domain aligned with SPF or DKIM, and one-click unsubscribe.

Does Microsoft Outlook have the same rules?

Yes. Since May 2025 Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live require SPF, DKIM and DMARC from domains sending over 5,000 messages a day.

What happens if I don't comply?

Your mail is increasingly rejected with 5.7.x errors or sent to spam, starting with the least-engaged recipients.

Which parts can't be checked from DNS?

Alignment, one-click unsubscribe and spam rate depend on how your email is sent. Check a sent message's headers and Google Postmaster Tools for those.
